Receive support for safety shoes and prescription safety eyewear. Job Summary This position is crucial for the finishing process of metal truck bodies and parts in preparation for powder coating or paint.

Duties and Responsibilities Surface Preparation :

Grind, sand, and scrape metal surfaces in preparation for coating.

Pre-Coating Treatment :

Wash, rinse, and caulk metal components to ensure optimal coating adhesion.

Quality Control :

Ensure the quality of products before sending them to the coating department.

Tool Management :

Maintain and utilize necessary tools, including air tools, hand tools, tape measures, glue, and tape.

Safety and Housekeeping :

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Flexibility :

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Minimum Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move around the facility. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Mandatory use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety-toed shoes. Work Environment Plant environment with typical elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes. Conditions are manageable, with no extreme discomfort. Expect excessive heat during the summertime.
