Job Title:
General Production Worker - Tote Washer Job Description This role focuses on washing and sanitizing totes and containers used in a manufacturing environment. You will use hoses, brushes, and cleaning agents to ensure all totes are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use, while following safety and hygiene guidelines. You must be comfortable working in a wet environment and performing hands-on, physical tasks throughout your shift. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize totes and containers using hoses, brushes, and appropriate cleaning agents. Ensure all totes meet cleanliness and hygiene standards before returning them to production or logistics areas. Inspect totes for damage, wear, or defects and promptly report any issues to a supervisor. Operate cleaning equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures. Follow all safety, hygiene, and environmental protocols when handling and disposing of cleaning materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure totes are cleaned and available in a timely manner to support operational needs. Assist with general production, packaging, assembly, inspection, and machine operation tasks as needed. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cleaning or related production activities. Support overall production workflow by performing general labor duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor or production work in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to wash and sanitize totes and containers using hoses, brushes, and cleaning agents. Comfort working in a wet environment and performing physically demanding, hands-on tasks. Basic experience with hand tools and power tools. Ability to operate cleaning equipment in line with safety and hygiene guidelines. Attention to detail when inspecting totes for damage or wear and reporting issues. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety and sanitation protocols. Strong teamwork skills and reliability in supporting production and logistics needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production, assembly, or packaging environments. Experience in machine operation or equipment handling. Exposure to forklift operations in a production or warehouse setting. Experience with inspection tasks to ensure product or equipment quality. Familiarity with working in manufacturing facilities, especially those involving paints, chemicals, or similar products. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
