FLSA Status:
Non-exempt Summary Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast-moving and consistent manner. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent OR at least six months of related experience/training Ability to read a tape measure Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned Keeps area neat and clean Reads and uses a tape measure Reads blueprints and orders Communicates well with coworkers Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools Other duties may be assigned. Work Schedule The typical schedule for this position is 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday . Schedule may vary depending on production needs and overtime, though kept to a minimum, occasional scheduling changes may be required. Education and/or Experience One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies Must have a strong work ethic Must be willing to arrive on time, per scheduled shift - daily. Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically Must understand and follow safety procedures Must have good teamwork skills Must live by the Champion Operating Principles Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
