This position requires strong communication, leadership, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Supervisor will work closely with management and production employees to help maintain workflow, meet production schedules, and address issues as they arise. Essential Responsibilities Production & Machine Operations Set up and operate hot stamping machines. Set up and operate mitering machines. Assist with setting up and operating Emmeci machines. Start, stop, and monitor gluing machines. Keep machines supplied with the necessary materials to maintain continuous production. Monitor machines during production and identify problems or adjustments that may be needed. Assist employees with machine setups and production requirements. Ensure machines are running safely and efficiently. Help troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues and notify management or maintenance when additional assistance is required. Floor Coordination & Workflow Help coordinate daily production jobs and priorities. Keep jobs moving through the production process and help prevent unnecessary delays. Communicate job priorities and changes to production employees. Monitor workflow between departments and help ensure materials and completed work move to the appropriate areas. Assist with scheduling and coordinating work to meet production deadlines. Identify bottlenecks, production problems, or material shortages and communicate them to management. Help maintain an organized and efficient production floor. Material Handling Load and move pallets safely. Wrap and secure completed pallets for storage or shipment. Ensure materials are available at the appropriate machines and workstations. Help maintain proper organization of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Follow company procedures for safe material handling and pallet movement. Leadership & Communication Provide direction and support to production employees. Maintain clear, professional, and respectful communication with employees and management. Help train employees on machine operation, setup procedures, and proper workflow. Lead by example regarding attendance, safety, quality, productivity, and work ethic. Address routine production concerns and bring significant employee or operational issues to management. Communicate production status, delays, equipment issues, and other concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager. Help promote teamwork and cooperation among employees. Assist management in maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Safety & Quality Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Ensure employees are working safely around machinery and equipment. Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or workplace hazards immediately. Monitor production for quality and report defects or recurring quality issues. Maintain clean and orderly work areas. Ensure pallets, materials, and equipment do not obstruct aisles, exits, or designated safety areas. Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production experience required. Previous lead, senior operator, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and perform machine setups. Ability to operate and assist with setup of hot stampers, mitering machines, gluing equipment, and Emmeci machines. Ability to read and follow production instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and keep production moving. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while also directing and supporting a production team. Ability to lift, move, load, and wrap pallets as required. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Leadership Expectations The Production Floor Associate Lead is expected to be a hands-on leader who understands the production process and actively supports the team. The individual in this position should be able to recognize what needs to be done, communicate priorities clearly, assist employees when needed, and keep production moving while maintaining safety and quality standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials and assist with pallets. Ability to work around operating manufacturing machinery. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks. Ability to safely perform required machine setup and production duties.
