We are seeking a hands-on Lamination Technician / Composites Manufacturing Technician to support the production of specialized composite components in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for preparing molds, positioning reinforcement materials, applying resins and adhesives, completing composite layup processes, and ensuring finished components meet established quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable performing precise hands-on manufacturing work. Previous composites experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and backgrounds in assembly, fabrication, textiles, or related manufacturing environments may also be successful. Key ResponsibilitiesComposite Layup & Lamination Prepare and inspect molds prior to production. Clean, release, and prepare molds according to established procedures. Measure, cut, position, and assemble reinforcement materials according to work instructions. Build multiple material layers according to specified patterns, orientations, and thickness requirements. Apply resin, adhesive, and other production materials during the lamination process. Ensure proper material placement, alignment, coverage, and thickness throughout production. Follow established processing requirements to ensure consistent finished-product quality. Complete hands-on composite assembly and lamination work using appropriate tools and equipment. Production & Manufacturing Read and follow manufacturing work instructions, drawings, and production specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment. Follow documented production processes and manufacturing standards. Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality expectations. Perform repetitive hands-on production work while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Support production schedules and communicate potential delays or quality concerns. Quality Inspection Inspect work throughout the manufacturing process.

Identify potential defects such as:

Wrinkles Voids Misalignment Improper material placement Surface imperfections Incorrect thickness Incomplete coverage Verify materials and components meet established specifications. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Report quality concerns and assist with corrective actions as required. Finishing & Secondary Operations Perform trimming, finishing, and preparation of manufactured components. Remove excess material and prepare parts for downstream production processes. Inspect finished components for visual and dimensional quality. Support additional manufacturing operations as required. Maintain tools and work areas in proper condition. Equipment & Process Support Follow established processing requirements involving temperature, pressure, cure cycles, and other manufacturing parameters. Assist with basic equipment setup and production preparation. Identify manufacturing or tooling issues that may affect product quality. Work with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance personnel to resolve process concerns. Safety & Work Area Organization Follow all established safety procedures and PPE requirements. Safely handle resins, adhesives, chemicals, reinforcement materials, and other manufacturing products. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Properly store materials, tools, and production supplies. Follow established procedures for chemical handling, housekeeping, and waste disposal. Required Qualifications Manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, textile, composites, or related production experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work effectively with hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing documentation. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to quality and safe work practices. Ability to perform repetitive hands-on work while maintaining accuracy. Ability to lift, move, and position materials and components as required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned production schedules.
