Sewing Machine Mechanic Position Functions:
Perform regular maintenance, tune-ups, and cleaning of sewing machines to prevent breakdowns. Replace worn or damaged parts such as needles, belts, motors, and presser feet, and calibrate machines for optimal performance. Technical assessment of manufacturing problems with series tools and professional correction in the event of tool-related problems. The scheduling of the necessary equipment is repaired and timely implementation. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct diagnostic testing, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime in production lines Troubleshooting and root cause analysis are essential to maintain consistent stitch quality and machine reliability Coordination with the supervisor in the event of technical and quantitative problems that cannot be solved with reasonable effort. Adjust machines for different fabrics, stitch types, and garment patterns. This includes calibrating needle and thread tension, configuring machines for high-speed production, and ensuring proper stitch formation to prevent skipped stitches or fabric damage The maintenance of order and cleanliness in the workplace (workshop) and as well as compliance with occupational safety. Changeover tooling to appropriate configuration for operational needs. Other tasks as necessary Maintains safe and clean work area Maintains Mobility tooling (Hammers/Crimpers) repairs/PM Educational Level for
Position:
High school or GED equivalent Completed technical vocational training or multi-year equivalent professional experience. Would also consider candidates with hands-on experience with machinery and equipment.
Special Skills/Qualifications Needed:
Reading & understanding technical drawings, calipers, rulers, and metric system Rubber injection and Extrusion processes Hard work ethic and strong teamwork skills Knowledge of Wire EDM, Lathe and Mill Ability to handle multiple tasks and shift priorities Normal or corrected vision necessary to read prints and closely examine parts Penchant for quality Able to lift at least 25 lbs
