SUMMARY Performs repetitive workstation or line assembly inspections as defined by Material Management. Inspection of assembled, hardware or lamination parts by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Assembly and Hardware Department Reports defective parts to supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety regulations. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Other duties as assigned. Sets stops or guides to specified dimensions on drawer clamps as required. Observes machine operation to detect work defects or machine malfunction. Performs minor maintenance on tools and equipment as required. Assists other assemblers as required.
Lamination:
Prepares laminate for glue-up stacking. Checks all laminate for defects etc. Checks laminate for size, color, and quality. Helps with controlling of laminate inventories. Assist with keeping correct inventory levels. Ensure safety within assigned area. Operates forklift as required.
Edgebanding:
Feed edge banding into machine and be able to feed unprocessed parts and catch processed parts. Able to monitor quality of edging on parts. Ability to learn the operation of the edge band equipment. Remove and move completed parts to next milling operation. Ensure safety within assigned area of responsibility. Able to read a tape measure in standard and metric.
