Scope:
Prepares, sets up, calibrates, and operates CNC pipe manufacturing machinery in a safe and accurate manner to perform a variety of functions such as cutting, drilling, bending, etc. Must understand and follow specifications and requirements to process / produce accurate, high
  • quality parts.
Work will be performed in the Buena Vista facility location.
Operator Essential Duties:
Below is an outline of essential duties, additional duties and tasks may be assigned based on production demand and flow at the Buena Vista facility or Daleville Facility. Responsible for operating, loading, and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, inspection of quality parts for conformance to established requirements. Work from bill of material (BOM), engineering drawings, prints and work instructions to operate any pipe manufacturing equipment after safe training has been provided. Set-up machinery for production runs once trained. Must be able to read and understand engineering parts design prints. Possesses competence to measure and verify all dimensions are per the design specifications. Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork. Complete routine maintenance of their machinery. Maintain safe, and organized work area. Notify supervisor, cell leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation. Responsible for the unloading, unpackaging and movement of raw materials required to manufacturing pipe sub-assemblies. Will assist with all aspects of accurate inventory control and material usage as defined by production processes. May be responsible for packaging finished goods for shipment from manufacturing area to other locations both inside the factory and external of factory.
Other Duties:
Perform or assist with any operations throughout the factory, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to assist with training new employees, integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment:
Trained to use CNC machinery, use hand, and hand power tools, assembly fixtures, crane devices such as vacuum lifters, cranes, and forklifts. Minimum Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Safety Glasses
