Job Description
Based in Colby, Wisconsin, Colby Metal is a full-service metal fabrication and manufacturing company that handles projects from raw material all the way through to finished assemblies. Primary Operations:
Laser cutting (sheet and tube), fiber-optic tube laser, turret punch press, CNC forming, tube bending, welding (including robotic), powder coating, band saw cutting.Secondary Operations:
CNC milling, riveting, PEM insert installation, assembly, quality control. - Monday-Thursday (4 days a week, 10 hour shifts) 5:00AM to 3:00

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in the manufacturing process.Duties:
- Welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes according to customer prints and specifications.
- Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
- Repairs broken or cracked parts, and fills holes in metal parts.
- Packages parts as directed according shop order.
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Inspects parts to assure that all processes have been completed and match the shop order.
- Assures that all safety procedures, inspections procedures, start-up procedures and housekeeping procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG and TIG.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
