The Production Painter will be is responsible for finishing and painting a product or components of a product through priming, lamination, gluing, sanding, trimming, glazing, and other processes. May perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them, rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Properly mix catalyzed, water-based paint and industrial coatingsInspect parts prior to painting for proper surface preparationPrepare parts for painting by masking and positioning partsPaint multiple part types and colors during a normal shiftWork to a high-quality standardSafely operate and maintain spray and mixing equipmentMaintain a safe and clean work environment including spray boothsNotify management and purchasing of inventory shortagesPrepares parts for painting by sanding and sandblasting and filling with epoxy and polyester fillersUse of air grinding and sanding tools Painter Physical DemandsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to stand for 5 hours at a timeAble to occasionally lift 45 lbsAble to wear Personal Protective Equipment needed for the positionAutomotive /Prototype Painter Education and ExperienceRequirements:
