JOB OBJECTIVES

Under the general direction of the Portage County Job & Family Services (PCJFS) Agency Director or designee, incumbent is responsible for overall management of Staff Development and Quality Assurance support and services for all divisions of the agency. Incumbent will serve as contact for all state and federal licensing reviews and audits. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring recommendations that come from state and federal audits are addressed. Incumbent will be responsible for developing and monitoring surveys, policies, processes and programs of the Portage County Job and Family Services and will provide formal reports and recommendations to the JFS Director that will address gaps in services, quality and quantity enhancements. Incumbent will be responsible for the coordination, development and monitoring of annual goals, strategic and succession plans for the agency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in social services, Human Development or Business-related field preferred or associate's degree with five (5) years of experience with public assistance programs; plus, three (3) years in supervisory capacity. Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain continuing eligibility under the existing County driver eligibility standards.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Coordinates and facilitates onboarding activities for newly hired staff for all divisions of the agency to ensure all policies are reviewed and required paperwork is completed, signed, and documented. Maintains and monitors Step Up Plans for new hires as well as training plans for internal employees. Creates, revises, and implements all Agency and Divisional Policies and Procedures as needed, includes numbering and seeking approval from JFS Director Creates, revises, and implements all Agency and Division Forms as needed, including numbering and seeking approval from JFS Director Responsible for maintenance of the agency's telework guide. Responsible for ensuring employees that telework meet the in-home expectations prior to telework approval and are monitored periodically. Responsible for conducting random and scheduled telework audits. Monitor and complete quality assurance reviews monthly as well as complete quarterly agency wide reports; to be submitted to the JFS director. Enter, retrieve, and interpret data from JFS computer systems, as it relates to case load management, unit performance, and monitoring of subordinates. Promote collaborative training and quality assurance efforts between PCJFS divisions to accomplish common goals and outcomes. Achieve and maintain consistency of policy adherence and provide effective and efficient customer service. Recruit and implement new staff training for all divisions to promote new and expanded knowledge base for all division staff. Track all Agency Staff complete trainings, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates. Issues and analyzes data from quarterly training surveys Analyses data on a quarterly basis from agency customer service surveys.
