Full Job Description Quality Lead Location:
Vancouver, WA Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm (Onsite)
Pay:
$65,000-$75,000 salary + quarterly bonus
Company:
Automation Manufacturing Position Overview The Quality Lead is responsible for owning and developing the company's quality systems, inspection processes, and overall quality standards across production. This role combines hands-on inspection work with high-level ownership of quality initiatives, including process development, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. Working closely with engineering, production, and operations teams, the Quality Lead ensures product consistency, reduces defects, and drives improvements across manufacturing. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building systems, taking ownership, and making a direct impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company quality systems, processes, and procedures
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on mechanical assemblies, wiring harnesses, and control panels
  • Create and maintain inspection procedures, quality documentation, and records
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for quality issues
  • Track and report quality metrics, including defects, rework, and trends
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production to resolve manufacturing and assembly issues
  • Ensure engineering changes are properly implemented within production processes
  • Develop inspection methods, testing procedures, and quality standards
  • Support supplier quality and incoming material inspections
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing consistency and overall quality processes
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of day-to-day production quality issues
  • Help establish accountability and quality-focused practices throughout production Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality systems, or production quality
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience performing inspections, audits, and quality evaluations
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the quality function
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or managing quality systems
  • Experience with corrective actions and process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams
  • Background in automation, machinery, or industrial equipment manufacturing
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
