Job Summary The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality control plan and is responsible for the overall quality control for the project. The QCM will have the critical task of ensuring each construction project meets the meticulous standards of excellence that Richard Group embodies. The individual holding this position is required to report to a project site five days a week. It is expected that the individual lives within proximity of the project location or the surrounding areas. Richard Group offers a housing allowance to cover the cost of living if a candidate must relocate. Our projects typically range from 1 - 3 years in length. Richard prides itself on consistently providing project opportunities to its field employees in the hope that they have a long career with our organization. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and interest in being assigned to other project locations throughout the United States after your initial assignment. Responsibilities The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for developing and implementing the construction sections of the project quality control plan (including the three phases of quality control) in compliance with Federal, DoD, and Navy requirements. Responsible for directing and approving the correction of any non-conforming or unsafe construction work performed under the contract. Monitors and approves the quality of materials, plans, surveys, fabrication, as-built drawings, and other construction-related work to ensure compliance with specifications, workmanship standards, and contract requirements. Review project plans for quality requirements. Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions. Direct inspections, testing and documentation. Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Maintain relationships with owners, clients, and subcontractors. Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs. Ensure timely and safe completion of projects in accordance with safety goals, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years' experience with a federal general contracting company CQCM certified and has administered the three phases of quality control on multiple projects. A thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems. Experience in federal sector projects. Experience in healthcare projects. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam. Ability to write and comprehend RFIs. Ability to clearly communicate to home office, Owner, and Subcontractors. Availability to work on any shift-1st, 2nd, or 3rd-as hospital construction occurs at all hours. Experience in Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage-required projects. Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug test. A desire to stay and grow with a company dedicated to real team support through mentorships, accountability, and grit. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs OSHA 30 Certified Experience managing projects $20MM+ At Richard, we believe in showing the same gratitude and care to our team members that we do in our projects.
