Job Description

•Repetitive 50lb lifting daily

•Shoreline Fabrication is looking for a dependable, hard-working Fabrication Machine Operator to join our production team. This position will operate a variety of equipment used in our fabrication process, including CNC plasma tables, press brakes, forklifts, hand plasma cutters, and drill presses. This is a hands-on shop position, and the employee will also assist with general production and labor as needed. Previous fabrication or machine-operating experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Reliability, work ethic, common sense, and a willingness to learn are more important to us than knowing every machine on day one. Responsibilities Set up and operate various CNC plasma cutting machines Set up and operate press brakes to form steel and aluminum parts Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move material throughout the shop Use hand plasma cutters, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication tools Read basic fabrication drawings, work orders, and cut lists Accurately use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools Load raw material onto machines and remove completed parts Inspect parts during production to verify dimensions and quality Perform basic machine adjustments and routine operator maintenance Keep machines and work areas clean and organized Assist with general shop labor and production work when needed Follow company safety and quality procedures Work with welders, fitters, quality personnel, and management to keep production moving Qualifications Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or machine-operation experience preferred CNC plasma and/or press brake experience is a strong plus Forklift experience preferred Ability to read a tape measure accurately Basic blueprint-reading ability is preferred Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with industrial equipment Able to follow instructions and work independently once trained Willing to learn multiple machines and move between different areas of production Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Must be willing to perform general shop work when production requires it What We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who only wants to run one machine. We're looking for someone who can become a versatile member of our production team. We can train the right person on our equipment, but we need someone who shows up, works hard, pays attention, takes care of the equipment, and takes pride in producing good parts.
