PURPOSE The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that manufactured products meet industry and federal standards. The Q/A Inspector's goal is to ensure that products can withstand regular use, work as intended, do not contain any imperfections or weaknesses, and fit properly with other mechanical parts.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Learn to work with applicable written inspection, drawing, and other pertinent instruction and / or Approved Technical Data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, and other equipment, accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on finding. Learn to use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments where work instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results. Learn to recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment used in performing the works as necessary. Learn to perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork. Must maintain Inspection stamp Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives. May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skills level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. College/Trade/Technical school preferred.Work History:
2-3 years of experience in a comparable position. Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team Assist in other work areas and perform all other related duties, as needed and directed. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to sit, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to work in an environment with loud noise. Must have adequate math, reading and computer skills. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Additional Details Must be able to pass a thorough background check including a drug screen.
