Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, nextgeneration system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies core mission priorities, and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

As a Quality Inspector, you will support the inspection of aerospace components using both conventional and advanced metrology equipment. You will interpret complex technical drawings, verify tighttolerance features, and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements. You will collaborate closely with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal teams to maintain high standards of product integrity and support reliable production outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesInspects components using conventional inspection tools to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.

Interprets complex aerospace drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

Uses advanced inspection equipment such as comparators, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), Faro arms, and laser inspection devices.

Documents inspection results and communicates findings with relevant departments.

Interfaces with internal teams to resolve inspectionrelated issues and support production needs.

Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety requirements.

Performs inspection tasks in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.

Applies knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements during inspection activities.

Supports daily workflow requirements by using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Required QualificationsMinimum of five years of quality control experience.

Experience working with military specifications, ANSI standards, and ComputerAided Design/ComputerAided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM).Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
