Full Job Description Purpose:
Support warranty, static and dynamic testing and inspection, and commissioning of all rail cars at commissioning sites
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, or software system, and establish a plan of action to resolve reported issue on rail cars High Potential and Continuity Testing, Megger, Vehicle Functional Test, Vehicle Visual Inspection, Dimensional Inspection, Weighing, Receiving Inspection, Vehicle Acceptance Preparation, Burn-In Testing, Performance Testing, etc. Produce timely and detailed service reports Verify full system and subsystem functionality of rail car Install and/or upgrade new hardware or software while ensuring that the work is done correctly and safely Repair/replace broken-down or damaged equipment Perform visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance engineering drawings and to quality standards and identify nonconformance as necessary. Create Non-Conformance Report (NCR) if needed. Perform in-process and final inspection and/or installation of electro-mechanical assemblies to assure conformance to specifications, drawings, and workmanship standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Utilize multimeters, oscilloscope, scales, tape, calipers, micrometer, and other measuring equipment to inspect parts and equipment. Record complete data findings in reports, trackers, sign off sheets, and other documentation with a high degree of accuracy and detail. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety notices. Perform other tasks/duties as assigned. These duties can either be temporary or long term in nature.
Requirements:
Professional demeanor and ability to work with minimal supervision. Prefer previous experience working in electrical mechanical environment. Must be able to work in physically demanding which requires, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds. Must have a reliable means of transportation to commute from one location to another Ability to consistently adhere to company policies and procedures. Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules Able to work at multiple locations Able to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Required Education:
HS diploma. AA/AS degree preferred.
