Marion Manufacturing - Cheshire, CT Permanent Role | $25-$30/hour Marion Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to become part of our Cheshire, CT facility. We are offering a practical role for a detail-oriented professional who excels at identifying quality concerns, collaborating with production staff, and ensuring that our precision-engineered parts satisfy all client specifications. With a long-standing history in the Connecticut manufacturing sector, Marion Manufacturing focuses on high-precision metal stamping and the production of components for diverse sectors such as aerospace, medical, defense, electronics, automotive, and telecommunications. Core Responsibilities Execute first-piece, in-process, and final quality checks on precision metal parts. Analyze and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, specifications, and operational instructions . Utilize precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and various inspection devices . Ensure that all components strictly adhere to customer-defined dimensional requirements. Help maintain high standards by identifying, logging, and reporting any non-conforming materials. Collaborate closely with production staff and machine operators to effectively address and resolve quality-related challenges. Keep precise logs of all inspection activities and maintain comprehensive quality documentation. Aid in the upkeep of inspection tools and the management of gauge calibration records. Contribute to ongoing process improvements to help uphold the quality benchmarks at Marion. Manage additional quality-focused tasks as required by the team. Required Qualifications Prior background in quality inspection within a manufacturing setting . Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints . Experience operating micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools . Strong focus on precision and detail. Ability to detect visual or dimensional flaws in manufactured parts. Effective communication skills to foster collaboration with the production team. Background in machining, metal stamping, or precision manufacturing is considered an asset.
