Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer & Quality Technician to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and programming Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software , a strong background in dimensional inspection, and experience working in a quality lab within an injection molding manufacturing environment .
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate Zeiss CMM using Calypso software for part measurement and inspection. Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of molded parts and components. Analyze CMM reports and measurement data , interpreting results for conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues. Support Gage R&R, capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and process validation activities . Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for accurate measurement interpretation. Document and maintain inspection records per
ISO 13485 / IATF 16949
(if applicable). Assist in developing and improving inspection methods for molded components. Conduct manual inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years of experience in CMM programming, specifically with Zeiss and Calypso software . Experience in injection molding or precision manufacturing preferred. Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology principles, and blueprint reading . Familiarity with
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, or
IATF 16949
quality systems. Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Gage R&R, and capability analysis . Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools . Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in CMM programming or metrology . Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles . Experience with additional inspection tools, such as optical comparators and vision systems .
