2nd Shift (3:30 PM

  • 2:00 AM, Monday-Thursday) + Weekend OT
    About the Role
    PDS Defense, Inc.

is seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support quality inspection of circuit card assemblies in Clearwater, FL. This role is critical in ensuring products meet stringent manufacturing and industry standards, including IPC specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection of solder connections and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies

Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and

IPC-J-STD-001

standards

Interpret engineering drawings, process instructions, inspection checklists, and revision-controlled documents

Identify and document defects using established criteria

Utilize measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and scales

Communicate quality issues effectively with cross-functional teams

Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience inspecting solder connections (surface mount and plated through-hole components)

Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and

IPC-J-STD-001

standards

Ability to interpret accept/reject criteria within IPC guidelines

Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, diagrams, and parts lists

Experience with revision control and technical documentation

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficient with personal computers

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to read and write English

Ability to pass required medical examination per supplier guidelines

Additional Requirements

Minimum 2 years of solder and conformal coating inspection experience required

Must have IPC experience clearly documented in resume

Documentation Skills (1-2 years)
