QC- Raw Material InspectorREPORTS TO
QC- SupervisorDATE EFFECTIVE
5/2/2025 GENERALRESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE OF FUNCTION A QC
Raw Material Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that incoming materials meet quality standards before they are used in production.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection of Incoming Material- Physically inspect raw materials for conformity and specifications
- Conduct sampling based on acceptance sample procedures
- Assist inspection of returned goods Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Maintain detailed inspection records and logs
- Prepare incoming inspection records and non-conformance reports
- Recognize and report GMP violations Operational Flexibility and Additional Duties
- May be required to rotate into other Quality Control/Quality Assurance departments based on business and operational needs.
- May be required to work or rotate between day and night shifts, including extended shifts as needed.
- Must be cross-trained and capable of supporting Quality functions outside of Raw Material Inspection when assigned.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the QC Supervisor, Quality Manager, and/or Director.

(KPIs)- Accurate documentation and record keeping
- Number of missed defects
- First-pass quality rate
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma.
- Neat appearance.
- Good communication - verbal and written.
- Math proficiency (test required).
- Computer proficiency.
- English required - spoken and written.
- Good people skills.
- Reliable work record.
- Heavy lifting, up to 25 lbs.
- Standing required and extended shifts.
- Tolerant to dampness and breading dust.
- Cross-training is required across Quality functions. Employees may be assigned to other Quality areas and/or shifts based on operational needs.
- Frequent writing required.
