Job Description

Fabrication Machine Operator Location:

Riviera Beach, FL

Pay Rate:

$17.00

  • 19.00 hourly
    Working schedule: Monday
  • Thursday 6:00am
  • 4:30pm Machine Setup | Blueprint Reading | Presses, Saws & Ironworker Equipment
JOB SUMMARY

: Set up and operate a variety of machine tool(s) including and not limited to 200-ton press, 40-ton press, Landis threading units, Bridgeport station, bench grinders, Piranha Ironworker, Kalamazoo band saw, compound chop saw, Kaltenbach miter saw and various dies and fixtures to produce precision parts to established specifications and ensure that machine is not malfunctioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following: Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as presses, threading units, saws, grinders, and shapers. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, and enters commands to retrieve, input, and edit computerized machine control media. Starts, loads and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or non conforming machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media required. Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications. Sets up and operates machines on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly. Confers with supervisor to resolve machining or assembly problems.  Performs preventative maintenance on equipment Follows established processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of quality parts. Other duties may be assigned as required.
