The Quality Control Group Leader is responsible for overseeing and performing quality inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet all required specifications. The role ensures adherence to quality standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports team members in maintaining exceptional quality control practices.Job Category:

Quality Assurance, Quality Control/Inspection Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products according to mechanical drawings and work instructions. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections with appropriate sampling methods (AQL). Quarantine nonconforming materials in both physical and ERP systems and coordinate returns or reorders with purchasing. Audit quality control records and ensure compliance with procedures and SOPs. Ensure proper identification and tracking of materials and work orders in ERP systems. Provide training and mentoring to team members on inspection methods, quality standards, and good documentation practices. Support team members in resolving quality concerns and ensure consistent application of quality practices. Coach team members on safe work habits and quality expectations. Maintain inspection documentation and ensure that equipment is properly calibrated and functioning. Model and promote safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment. Follow all safety policies and procedures, identifying and addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions. Assemble and coordinate cross-functional teams for deep dive investigation and root cause problem solving. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed that of outside air.Physical Demands:
The use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Education and Formal Training:
High School Diploma / GED Required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Certifications (CSCP, CPIM, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Certification).Experience:
5+ years' experience in quality control field. 4+ years' supervisory experience. Prior QC experience required. Prior forklift experience preferred. Prior machining / CNC experience preferred. Experience using SAP or other ERP System preferred.Materials and Equipment Used:
Office Equipment, Database & Query Software, ERP Software, Procurement Software - SAP system.Forklifts / Pallet
Jack / Reach Truck Experience Desired.Tools of the trade:
Calipers Micrometers CMM Plug, Ring, Thread, Pin, Snap, and Height Gauges - Manual and Digital Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment SAPSimilar remote jobs
