Description:

The Assembly Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting components and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity by identifying defects, documenting results, and collaborating with production and supervision teams to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished components for compliance with blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications using appropriate measuring and inspection tools. Conduct visual and functional inspections to identify defects, improper fit, or workmanship issues. Review assembly processes to confirm proper adherence to documented procedures and specifications. Document inspection results accurately by completing quality checklists, inspection reports, and nonconformance records. Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to supervisors and assembly personnel. Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions to reduce rework and defects. Perform final quality inspections and sign-offs prior to shipment or customer handoff. Maintain inspection tools and equipment, including confirming calibration status and reporting issues. Ensure a safe, organized, and clean work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures. Contribute to team objectives by supporting overall production and quality goals as needed.
Requirements:
Education & Experience High School diploma or GED required. 2+ years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Familiarity with basic quality control concepts and inspection methods. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Flexible and able to adapt to changing customer requirements and work environments. Reliable transportation required. Ability to lift, push, and pull 40-50 lbs as needed. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. Requires standing, bending, and performing repetitive inspection tasks.
