Crystal Lake, IL $17.00•$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
B Shift | 6:00 AM•6:30 PM Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Strong Eyes. Steady Hands. Solid Work. As a Quality Inspector in Crystal Lake, your job is to protect the process. You'll check, measure, and approve the work that keeps production moving forward. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements 1+ year of Quality Inspector experience in a production environment, preferably within the flexible packaging industry, OR 1+ year of Machine Operator experience performing quality checks in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of quality assurance processes and manufacturing environments Familiarity with production equipment, processes, and product specifications Ability to read and interpret measurements up to 1/16 inch using a ruler or tape measure Job Duties Perform dimensional inspections and quality checks on manufactured products Verify products meet customer specifications and quality standards Read and interpret product specifications, work orders, and quality documentation Identify and document quality concerns and defects Complete production and inspection reports accurately Utilize measuring devices such as rulers and tape measures to verify dimensions Maintain compliance with quality assurance procedures and standards Support production teams in maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process Preferred Qualifications Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred. Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial. Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial. Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift. Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 40 pounds when required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy. Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
