Job Title:
Construction Materials Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician to join our team, offering an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the state of Kentucky. This role provides a pathway to career advancement towards positions such as Project Manager or Geotechnical Engineer, making it ideal for engineers eager to gain valuable industry experience. Responsibilities Conduct field work involving materials testing and concrete testing. Ensure reliability and dependability in completing assigned tasks. Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders. Report to the Shelbyville office each morning for project assignments and transport arrangements. Travel to various sites across Kentucky, primarily involving day trips. Essential Skills Proven reliability and dependability. Ability to work on-site and endure various weather conditions for extended periods. Strong communication skills. Possession of an Associate's Degree. Previous experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) or a related construction field. Additional Skills & Qualifications ACI or other related certifications are desirable. A Bachelor's degree is advantageous. Work Environment The role involves working on-site at various locations throughout Kentucky, with almost all work requiring day travel only. Transportation to project sites is provided, beginning with reporting to the Shelbyville office. Initially, travel will be in a company truck with colleagues, with the potential to drive a company vehicle independently in the future. The position requires adaptability to outdoor work conditions, ensuring all necessary equipment is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
