•REXA, Inc. has just expanded and moved to a brand new state of the art facility. This position is located in Middleborough, MA.•REXA is growing, and this is an exciting time to join our team. This position is for a hands-on Mechanical Test Technician to inspect and test mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical assemblies before they ship to customers. This role is a good fit for someone who can read drawings, use basic measurement and test equipment, document results accurately, and work closely with manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to perform final inspections and functional testing of sub-assemblies and completed product systems to ensure compliance with all specifications, requirements, and quality standards prior to customer shipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and precision inspection instruments to assemble, test, and verify the mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical performance of actuator assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality standards and shipment readiness. Check work against drawings, bills of materials, product specifications, and configuration sheets. Identify defects, document nonconforming material, and help troubleshoot basic quality issues. Complete inspection records, test reports, and required quality documentation. Work cross functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and sales to support production schedules and ensure high quality products are delivered on time. Support incoming inspection, final shipping inspection, and process improvement efforts as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma (or equivalent) with experience inspecting, testing, assembling, repairing, or troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical equipment OR Mechanical Engineering degree.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions. Familiarity using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment. Basic computer skills for reviewing information, entering data, printing labels, and maintaining records. Strong attention to detail and ability to document results accurately.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Inspection experience in an
ISO 9001
manufacturing environment. Direct experience with hydraulic systems or actuators. Experience with test equipment such as digital multimeters, signal generators, data loggers, or oscilloscopes. Technical school certification, associate degree, or ASQ Certified Inspector certification. Experience using Syteline or comparable business management/ERP system.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Requirements:
Standing up to 95% of the time.
Lifting Requirements:
Up to 50 lbs. We offer full benefits and competitive compensation.
Hourly range:
$22.53 - 26.50 depending on experience
