Quality Control Lab Support Specialist (Sample Management)

As part of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting Quality Control operations in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance in life-changing therapies. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QC Lab Support Specialist to manage sample intake, shipment, and day-to-day laboratory support functions. In this role, you will interact cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Analytical Development, Manufacturing, Material Management, and Corporate teams to ensure flawless sample tracking, execution, and compliance within an FDA-regulated space.

Key Responsibilities Sample Management:

Receive incoming samples, verify documentation, log sample data into LIMS, and label, store, and organize samples according to strict SOPs and storage requirements.

Processing & Shipping:

Execute sample processing and aliquoting for release/stability testing and retains; coordinate internal and external testing lab sample transfers and manage all QC shipping activities.

Lab Support & Logistics:

Maintain and restock sample storage areas, perform routine cleaning, and collaborate cross-functionally with QA, QC, and Material Management on sampling, testing, and disposition needs.

Documentation & Compliance:

Review chain of custody forms, processing logs, and logbooks; assist with lab deviations and investigations; ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.

Operational Excellence:

Participate in Lean Lab initiatives, contribute to daily/weekly team updates, and adapt to shifting operational priorities.

Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or related field; OR Associate Degree + 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control or biopharma lab (preferably FDA-regulated); OR High School Diploma / GED + 3+ years of experience in a Quality Control or biopharma lab (preferably FDA-regulated).

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in a QC laboratory setting. Proficiency with LIMS , Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio), and lab management tools. Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail while managing multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain flexibility with workload and overtime requirements as needed. IND2

) Do you have a Bachelor's degree OR an AA/HS diploma with 2-3+ years of experience in a Quality Control or biopharma lab environment? Do you have hands-on experience working under cGMP guidelines within an FDA-regulated laboratory setting? Do you have experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample logging, receipt, and chain of custody tracking? Are you experienced in sample processing, aliquoting, retains management, and coordinating internal/external lab shipments?
