Allen Park, Michigan, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Dimensional Analysis Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan. Overview The Dimensional Analysis Technician I will perform and maintain component dimensional analysis equipment and measurements, providing analysis reports to engineers. The role involves supporting project work and customer interactions while working under mentorship. Responsibilities Assist in measuring hard points and 3D laser scan data for individual components and complete assemblies using manual devices, laser scanning, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). (60%)
Setup and tear down of components on surface plates. (10%)
Participate in interpreting technical dimensional documents. (10%)
Prepare technical dimensional analysis results in various formats for distribution. (10%)
Perform regularly scheduled calibration checks and maintenance of CMM equipment. (5%)
Participate in daily surface plates clean-up in preparation for upcoming projects. (5%) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
No previous experience required. Preferred Qualifications Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Metrology or related.
1 year of technical, automotive or related experience.
Strong math skills and a good understanding of geometry.
Knowledge of automotive components.
Ability to navigate and understand CAD models and PolyWorks software. We thank all applicants for their interest.
