Job Description
Curtis Metal Finishing is seeking 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) quality lab technicians/paint technicians. This technician will be responsible for the paint and overall quality of our coating facility. Forklift driving experience is preferred as well as a background in paint. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Paint set ups for all dip spin lines Vat and paint monitoring through; o Viscosity o Solids o pH checks Vat and Paint maintenance through straining Cleanout of vats Spot check line operator duties Perform final inspection of all processes Clean and organized work area. Follow policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance Daily walk and review of parts from production lines to meet quality expectations Review operator production sheets and confirm operating in proper parameters Enforce Quality procedures if non-compliant parts are discovered Meet & work with shift supervisor daily to ensure associate training is compliant Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understanding of industry sector safety and environmental standards Demonstrated ability to work independently Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity Qualifications and Education Requirements High School diploma or GED required. 1+ years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.
