Job Description

C-Axis, Inc. is looking to hire a Quality Inspector Perform incoming inspections. Develop quality and inspection requirements for the job and document the process per C-Axis Inc. requirements. Execute functions under supervision. Adhere to the company s quality manual, procedures, and work instructions to ensure all processing and fabrication operations are being followed. Employee must comply with company quality standards and guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, but are not limited to the following: Analyze customer requirements and develops the inspection process along with Engineering. Determine customer measurement techniques and measurement tools. Analyze manufacturing processes and identify improvements to determine more efficient inspection methods or techniques. Consistent with the quality plan perform inspections or process verification run, including process controls. Perform incoming inspection of material prior use. Assist on the first article inspection of the part to ensure conformance prior start running the job. Perform final inspections on productions parts, ensure that inspections are performed with the proper gages or inspection equipment and document inspections. Perform line clearance verification in the production floor to ensure conformance. Review documents and inspect and sign off parts for the service provided from outside suppliers for compliance before releasing into production or for shipment. Manage the product release.
This includes:
review and inspect the parts and job package and all documentation within the job for compliance and operations are signed off. Ensure parts/product comply with all customer and SOP requirements. Assist the department with all Manufacturing/Inspection Gages and Inspection equipment.
This includes:
maintain a log of the inspection equipment, ensure that all equipment is calibrated or removed from use and segregated, and maintain calibration records available and accurate. Responsible of generating Non Conformance Report (NCR) and inform the supervisor of discrepancy found. Maintain a segregated and organized cabinet, ensure that all non-conforming material is properly labeled, and ensure that disposition is initiated and completed prior release of parts. Provide basic training to manufacturing employees on inspection criteria and techniques and on the use of inspection equipment as micrometer, caliper, height gage, etc. Create inspection programs for the vision system (CMM, Micro-Vu, OGP, etc). Use the vision system equipment in manual and automatic mode. Program the equipment to combine manual and programmable set up.
Create inspection programs that:
perform initial set up of the equipment, use point, distance and diameter function among others. Perform inspections in the vision system using the determined programs. Responsible for the maintenance of the assigned equipment, systems, work station and area following best practices. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Develop and manage special projects as assigned by supervisor.. About C-Axis, Inc.
