Join Ben's Structural Fabrication as a Machine Operator , where you'll operate equipment that processes structural steel and related materials for fabrication. You'll set up and operate assigned machines, read production documentation, verify finished parts, and help keep materials moving safely and efficiently through production. Safely operate assigned machines to process structural steel and related materials while meeting production, quality, and safety expectations. Set Up Machines forProduction:
Read and interpret work orders, cut lists, machine programs, drawings, and other production documentation to complete routine machine setups and verify material requirements.Check Your Work:
Inspect processed materials for dimensional accuracy, cut quality, hole locations, identification, and overall workmanship before releasing them to the next production operation.Maintain Your Equipment:
Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, operator-level preventive maintenance, and minor adjustments while reporting concerns that could affect safety, quality, or productivity.Handle & Stage Materials:
Safely move, stage, and position structural steel and other materials using overhead cranes and approved material-handling equipment.Keep Production Moving:
Maintain organized work areas, respond to production priorities, and work with team members to support efficient material and production flow.Solve Problems:
Identify equipment, material, or quality concerns before they impact downstream production and communicate issues when additional support is needed.Continue Building Your Skills:
Develop proficiency across production equipment, manufacturing processes, machine setup, quality verification, and production efficiency. Support aSafe & Organized Shop:
Maintain a clean, organized work area and identify opportunities to improve equipment utilization, safety, quality, and overall production performance. Schedule This is a full-time, hourly position. Work is typically performed Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:15 pm, with mandatory overtime on Fridays, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, if needed. Pay Transparency Statement In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the anticipated pay range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and role requirements. Ability to safely operate production equipment while producing accurate, quality finished materials. Ability to read and interpret production documentation, work orders, machine programs, and fabrication drawings. Ability to perform routine machine setups and operator-level equipment care. Ability to inspect finished materials for dimensional accuracy and quality. Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safe work practices. Ability to obtain and maintain Ben's Structural Fabrication authorization to operate overhead cranes. Preferred One (1) to three (3) years of manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, construction, or related industrial experience. Experience operating CNC or automated production equipment. Experience interpreting production documentation, work orders, or fabrication drawings. Previous overhead crane experience in a production environment. Technical diploma or certificate in Manufacturing Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Industrial Technology, Welding Technology, or a related skilled trade. Working knowledge of machine setup, measuring devices, quality verification, and operator-level preventive maintenance.Compensation details:
