Monday - Friday | 1st Shift. On-site Quality Tool , a dynamic and growing precision metal manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. This is a full time, in office position at our St. Paul Energy Park location responsible for performing inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications all within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our customers are market leaders in the Medical Equipment, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Controls, and Electronic industries.Key Responsibilities:
Verify that established quality and production processes are being followed to provide defect free components and help administer corrective action when it is found that the processes are not being followed. FollowISO 9001

Quality Systems guidelines applicable to your area Analyze all procedures, raw material standards, inspection techniques, and inspection equipment for process improvements. Provide technical assistance and advice to all functional areas regarding quality system measurements and procedures. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation Assist with administration of the calibration system. Making certain that all tools used by Quality Tool are in calibrated. Monitor quality performance of rejects, scrap, rework, vendor performance and recommend and participate in implementing improvements Log information on defects into DMR/CAR database. Conduct final inspection audit of completed components. The objective is not to perform detailed final inspection of components; it is to provide an audit of key dimensions/features to verify that the production processes are working. Other duties as assigned or as required to meet customer or business needs.Qualifications and Requirements:
Preferred strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication quality standards. High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Trade school in relevant discipline and 1 or two years work experience, or 3 to 4 years equivalent in training, experience and knowledge. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T Proficiency using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, precision blocks, squares, and CMM equipment Ability to maintain required work records and Quality System Documentation. Quality orientation and high attention to detail. Demonstrated competency with personal computer systems and software applications. Ability to maintain safe work environment. Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution. Knowledge concerning mechanical principle, forming practices, the properties of metals and the application of mathematics and dimensions to precision fabrication.Compensation & Benefits:
