Job Description

OVERVIEW
:: The Quality Assurance Technician will operate scales, verifying that product samples fall within specified ranges, record data on paper and the computer system(s). Observes employees and confirm compliance with safe food handling practices while monitoring HACCP documentation to confirm compliance with the HACCP plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
:: Perform unbiased product quality testing in assigned area. Keep an accurate and legible record of all testing completed. Ensure product safety and sanitary conditions are always maintained in the processing areas. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
REQUIREMENTS
:: Knowledge of GMP's. Prior experience in Quality Control. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our company. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Have a good attendance history - 4 points or less. Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated. Be willing to be cross-trained and learn all tasks in the department. Have the ability to perform basic mathematics. Know how to effectively manage time to complete all assigned tasks. Extended shifts may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
:: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to chemicals used in the processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the position as directed by Case Farms. Able to stand or freely move for duration of shift.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through production environment. Ability to work with tools, like scissors, knives and/or power tools for the duration of the shift. Case Farms is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
