Pay will be commensurate with experience. Position is full time with excellent benefits and paid vacation time. Successful candidate will have the following qualities and experiences:
  • Eye for detail
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Observe construction activities and documentwith photographs and notes
  • Observe and classify soils
  • Perform hand auger borings
  • Sample, inspect and test soils, aggregates, and pavement(asphalt and concrete)
  • Ability to utilize field and laboratory testingequipment
  • Ability to read and understand constructiondrawings
  • Prepare daily field reports to include sketchesas needed
  • Communication skills for working with clients,owners, and peers
  • Ability to routinely lift 40-100 lbs
  • Ability to work outside and walk on unevenground
  • Have a State issued Driver's License
  • Must be able to get access to Federalinstallations (with our sponsorship)
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to use Excel, Word and Adobe is a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Construction Materials Field Technician is a plus.

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
