Job Overview Joule Manufacturing Services is a growing precision sheet metal manufacturing company serving OEM and contract manufacturing customers throughout New England. We manufacture close-tolerance components, assemblies, enclosures, brackets, and other precision sheet metal products where quality, reliability, and on-time delivery matter. What You'll Do Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision sheet metal parts and assemblies. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Verify dimensions, tolerances, workmanship, and other customer requirements. Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records. Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues. Assist with identification, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming material. Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions. Assist with internal process and quality audits. Help maintain material identification and traceability. Learn and apply ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality requirements. Participate in continuous improvement activities as your knowledge and experience develop. Take on additional quality responsibilities as skills and capabilities grow. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree, technical degree, or college coursework in engineering technology or related technical field Manufacturing or machine shop experience. Previous quality inspection experience. Experience reading engineering drawings and/or GD&T. Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or other precision inspection equipment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings. Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Comfortable working with computers and entering information accurately. Ability to learn and properly use precision measuring equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production personnel. Dependable, organized, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
