Position Summary Quality Control Inspector will analyze parts using microscope and other measurement tools to confirm that the product meet with the specifications. Additionally, Inspector will determine the status of the production parts for shipment or reprocessing. Essential Functions 1. Experience and/or capability with Basic inspection
Tools:
micrometer, rulers, scales, Surface Plate Work a Plus, Shims (flatness testing), Chart Recorders (able to read charts time/temp, using specialized test equipment (e.g. air gage, conductivity testing), computer familiarity. 2. Reporting Findings upon
Inspection:
filling out inspection reports, clearly stating the condition/noncomformance in English, Review of related documentation for accuracy and completeness, the ability to work independently and as a team member once trained. 3. Visual Inspection must pass (with at least one eye) a: Jaeger 1 eye test (uncorrected or with corrective lenses), color blindness test (i.e. normal), capable of scratch inspections including minor rework (scotch-Brite) as directed, using magnifying lenses, operating a digital camera to document nonconformance, once trained. 4. Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, etc. 5. Ability to handle up to 50 lbs weight, i.e. packages, parts, part carriers. 6. The inspector will evaluate the validity and acceptability of the inspection/test results, creating an inspection/test report. Knowledge of F.O.D. (foreign object debris/damage 7. Must be able to handle long parts with two hands and still be mobile. 8. Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility None Work Environment This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, working hours will be determined by the Manager with additional hours as business needs necessitate. Travel None Education Requirements and Experience
  • High School graduate or at least 2 College degree preferred.
  • 5 Years minimum experience related to Quality Control
  • The QC Inspector must pass a Jaeger#1/colorblindness vision test w/at least 1 eye annually
  • Experienced with a keen eye for details and the ability to plan and set up inspections/tests, including the preparation and set up of related equipment.
  • Ability to utilize Excel for data collection and chart generation a plus
  • Calibration experience aplus
  • Knowledge of AS9100 a plus Hitemco LLC.

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
