•$20 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Office record organization Full Job Description Job description: About us Athens Foods is a family-owned company who has produced more authentic, handmade dough and flavorful phyllo-wrapped treats than any other phyllo-maker in the world. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Technician who has a background in food manufacturing to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Your responsibilities will include testing, inspecting, and evaluating products to ensure they meet our high standards.

Responsibilities:

Check production processes/products for conformance to set specifications Metal detector set-up and monitoring Moisture analysis. Tests various products for moisture control Responsible to report food safety, quality, or food defense concerns to his/her supervisor Ensures conformance with all Safety, GMP's, and Food Safety Policies Maintain accurate records of quality control activities

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in food manufacturing preferred 1+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, write, and speak basic English Bilingual a plus We will train someone without experience if they meet the other qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, and use of intranet and internet Well-developed problem solving, team building and staff development skills Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines High degree of initiative and independent judgement Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution focused Must be able to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files Majority of time spent standing/walking to perform job duties
