Senior Quality Specialist PVS Plastics - 2.1 Dayton, OH Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications CMM laser scanning Dimensional inspection English Attention to detail Problem-solving Quality audits Full Job Description Job Specific Information General Objective This role is responsible for inspecting precision parts and assemblies using CMM equipment and other metrology tools to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role also supports operations by validating product quality, troubleshooting dimensional issues, and maintaining accurate inspection records. Core Duties Observance of and compliance with the applicable regulations in the areas of quality, environment, and safety, and the obligation to inform the supervisor of perceived deficiencies in these areas. Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment (manual and/or programmed). Develop, edit, and maintain CMM programs for part inspection. Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. Identify non-conforming products and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment, gauges, and fixtures. Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve quality issues. Ensure compliance with quality management system. Support production and outgoing product quality to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all applicable quality management and quality assurance regulations. Report any observed deficiencies and propose corrective actions; organizational independence from production to ensure unbiased quality inspections. Verify compliance with specifications (size, shape, texture, safety, etc.) Perform sampling measurements (including CPK). Update process books and controlled documents as directed. Audit production processes and finished goods for compliance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Posses prior CMM or programming experience (required). Has proficiency in English (written and verbal) (required). Has strong attention to detail. Must be able to take initiative and work independently. Additional Employment Information Company Requirement Adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, compliance with the Employee Handbook, and consistent demonstration of PVS values in the workplace. This includes compliance with quality, environmental, and energy efforts, as well as all relevant occupational health and safety standards. Any observed deficiencies in these areas must be promptly reported to the direct leader. Employees are also expected to support and contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of their respected areas. General Review for People Leaders Employees with personnel responsibility are authorized to issue instructions to their team members, provided such directives aligned with applicable laws, official and customer requirements, and the guidelines of PVS. Additional Tasks Employees may be assigned temporary and reasonable tasks that align with the nature of their position or are required to support operational needs.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
