Quality Control Technician Location:
Walton Hills Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to inspect plastic sheet products and ensure they meet quality specifications. This position will perform measurements, color testing, documentation, and product inspections while working closely with the production team. Training will include exposure to various production-floor positions and processes. Responsibilities Inspect plastic sheet surfaces for quality and defects. Measure sheet thickness using a micrometer and verify length, width, and squareness using a tape measure. Perform color testing using a color meter and shrinkage testing using an oven. Collect samples from production lines, weighing approximately 20 lbs. Count sheets and perform cycle counts as needed. Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and quality information. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Operate a tow motor/forklift as needed. Assist with production-floor training to understand equipment, processes, and other positions. Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management. Qualifications Previous warehouse or general manufacturing experience required. Must be able to read, write, perform basic math, and read a tape measure. Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and multitasking skills. Ability to use basic hand and power tools, including hammers, circular saws, table saws, band saws, and nail guns. Forklift certification is a plus. Familiarity with cycle counts preferred. Previous plastic extrusion or plastic sheet manufacturing experience is a plus. Must have adequate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to pass preemployment screening
Schedule:
3 rd (10pm•10 am); overtime as needed
Salary:
