Position Title:

Fibertex Machine Operator Job Summary The Machine Operator supports manufacturing operations by helping ensure machinery and equipment run efficiently and safely. In this role, you'll assist lead operators with setup, monitoring, and routine upkeep of production lines while maintaining quality and output standards. You'll help minimize downtime by identifying issues early, keeping accurate production records, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. This position is hands-on and team-focused, contributing directly to the reliability and productivity of the operation. What You'll Do As a Machine Operator, you will: Follow all company safety policies and procedures Support the Quality Policy to ensure products and services meet customer expectations Operate production equipment within specified limits Monitor raw materials, product, and equipment for defects or deviations Perform routine maintenance and equipment inspections to support safe, high-quality, productive operation Maintain production records and monitor product quality using established control charts Perform scheduled site safety audits Keep the work area clean throughout the shift Assist the Lead Operator with machine setup and operations Fill in for the Lead Operator when they are not on site Support a constructive, team-focused work culture

Schedule & Pay Pay:

$19.00/hr + $2.00/hr shift premium Shifts (12 hours):

Day Shift:

7:00 AM - 7:00

PM Night Shift:

7:00 PM - 7:00

AM Schedule Pattern:

2-2-3 Requirements (Minimum Qualifications) High school diploma or equivalent Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally Basic computer skills desired (keyboard, Microsoft Office) Basic understanding of SAP or other ERP systems a plus Forklift experience a plus Basic understanding of the metric system a plus Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment Carding, needle punch and/or textile experience Mechanical troubleshooting skills Familiarity with standard manufacturing safety practices and equipment maintenance Ability to read and interpret production documents and equipment manuals Workplace safety or equipment operation certifications Work Keys (not required, but a plus) Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequent use of hands/fingers to handle tools, objects, and controls Regular standing/walking; occasional sitting and reaching Occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus Noise level typically low to moderate Must be able to understand and respond to visual/audible notifications unless otherwise stated by the client Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions HTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/D/F/V/SO).
