PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to find a detail-driven Inspector who is passionate about quality, precision, and continuous improvement. As an Inspector, youll play a critical role in ensuring manufactured products meet strict engineering and customer requirements before they move into production. Your expertise in First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality verification will help maintain the exceptional standards the aviation industry demands.

What Youll Do

In this role, youll be responsible for performing inspections, validating product compliance, and ensuring quality documentation is accurate and complete.

Key Responsibilities

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to Job Instruction Sheets and engineering plans

Conduct and review First Article Inspections (FAI) and Delta FAIs in compliance with AS9102 requirements

Create, review, and verify FAI packages for completeness and accuracy

Develop and maintain ballooned drawings for FAI documentation

Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and engineering specifications

Properly use, maintain, and calibrate inspection equipment and measuring tools

Complete quality documentation and inspection stamp activities accurately

Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements

Communicate FAI status and inspection findings to all levels of the organization

Meet with customers, either on-site or virtually, to explain and discuss FAI results when required

Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards

Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures

Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience creating, reviewing, and managing First Article Inspections (FAIs)

Strong understanding of

AS9102 FAI

requirements

Knowledge of WHMA and IPC specifications

Experience performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections

Ability to review technical documentation and quality records with exceptional attention to detail

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments

Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including:

Micrometers

Calipers

Optical Comparators

Other measuring and test equipment

General proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to create and present simple reports

Understanding of CORE quality tools

Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification preferred

Aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or quality inspection experience

Pay Details:

$30.53 per hour
