Responsibilities Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, including checking mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, brakes, lights, and body integrity. Utilize hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs or adjustments as needed during inspections. Conduct automotive tire changes and basic vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure roadworthiness. Identify mechanical issues related to auto body repair, auto restoration, or system failures; document findings accurately for reporting purposes. Assist with auto estimating by assessing repair needs and providing detailed inspection reports. Use automotive parts and accessories knowledge to recommend necessary repairs or replacements. Ensure compliance with safety standards by performing heavy lifting safely and following proper procedures during vehicle handling. Qualifications Proven experience in vehicle inspection, automotive repair, or mechanic work with a strong understanding of standard passenger car operation. Mechanical knowledge encompassing automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, and vehicle maintenance. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, auto restoration, and automotive tire change procedures. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment used in vehicle inspections and repairs. Ability to perform vehicle inspections thoroughly while maintaining attention to detail. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding inspection findings and repair recommendations. Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories to assist in accurate assessments.
