It is an ideal entry point for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a food plant environment, and interested in building a career in food quality and safety. Training in our food safety program, testing methods, and documentation procedures is provided. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled inspections of raw materials, packaging, and finished product for weight, temperature, appearance, labeling, code dating, and seal integrity. Complete and maintain quality records (checklists, logs, hold tags, non-conformance reports) legibly and in compliance with Good Documentation Practices. Place product on hold when specifications are not met, tag and segregate affected product, and assist with root-cause investigation and corrective actions. Calibrate and verify inspection equipment (thermometers, scales, pH meters) according to schedule. Monitor and reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), allergen controls, and personal hygiene requirements on the production floor. Support internal audits and customer or regulatory inspections (FDA, USDA, SQF/BRCGS, customer audits) by pulling records and assisting the QA team. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel/Word. Willingness to work in cold, wet, or warm environments and around food allergens. Availability to work assigned shift, including some weekends, overtime, and holidays as production requires.
