Job Description

Quality Control (QC) Inspector Roof Consulting Services, Inc. (RCS) is seeking to hire a Quality Control (QC) Inspector responsible for representing Roof Consulting Services (RCS) in a professional manner at all times. The ability to observe, document and report daily work utilizing the RCS on-line database system which allows for the submission of daily reports to all parties involved with the project in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend meetings such as pre-construction, project progress, and project closeout to document meeting information and provide insight into project conditions for the owners and designers when required. Perform daily interior and exterior inspections to observe project conditions and to check for leaks. Observe and document activities on the roof while these activities are taking place to ascertain if the materials and methods of installation are in accordance with the approved plans and specifications for the new roof installation. Prepare daily reports documenting manpower, weather conditions, activities, progress, and any deviations or deficiencies. Serve as liaison between contractual parties to provide an open channel for communication during construction. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of roofing experience required. OSHA certification required (minimum 10 hours). Registered Roof Observer (RRO)/Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) preferred. Knowledge of and experience in current roofing trends. Ability to work independently or in a team environment and exercise sound judgment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must reflect a positive image for the organization. Basic computer knowledge required. Ability to safely utilize extension ladders up to 40 feet. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
