Job Description

The quality control inspector position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of our company's products consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Essential Functions Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality. Advise workers engaged in production to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. Generate spreadsheets for data collection. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant supervisors to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures. Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle. Work with purchasing manager and vendors to ensure quality of all purchased products. Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams. Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service. Assist in data collection methodologies and quantification on financial impact of results. No travel is expected for this position. Work Environment Work will be completed in a manufacturing plant. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Climbing in and out of tanks; bending, twisting, and turning in small spaces; Moving quickly from one location to another within the plant or surrounding grounds.
