Location:
Bear Creek, WI Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician position is a working position responsible for the testing of finished products for acid, salt, pH, and sulfites. The QA Tech will need to ensure the chemistry is within specification for all lines in the facility. Test products for fill weights, drained weights, metal detection, defects, color, and flavor. Ensure all lot coding is correct on the package and case. This is a fast-paced environment, and tests must be done in a timely manner. This is to be performed employing the safest, most efficient, and professional methods possible.
Key Tasks:
Inspect, test or measure product for conformance to specification. Testing of Physical and Chemical properties Lab equipment calibration Perform internal plant audits to identify any conformance Consult with manager to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems Collaborate with other supervisors/managers to coordinate activities of individual departments including production to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality of product. Overall accuracy of reports/paperwork Level of efficiency attained in quality assurance functions Training and development effectiveness
Education/Experience:
G.E.D. or equivalent Proficient at Word and Excel. Skill set would include basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in a highly disruptive environment.
  • Ability to efficiently work with minimum or no direct supervision.
Must be able to work overtime when required to do so. Ability to perform assigned tasks under time pressure and efficiently. Must be able to produce work within exacting standards and tolerances. IND123
