The Opportunity:
We're hiring a CMM Programmer. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. You'll support production, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across teams to enhance inspection processes and product performance.
What You'll Do:
Here's what your day-today might look like: Develop, program, and optimize CMM inspection routines using software such as PC-DMIS Partner with the tool room to design and build fixtures that streamline CMM setup and improve efficiency Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models to create accurate and reliable inspection programs Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify product conformance Analyze inspection results and generate clear, detailed reports for internal teams and customers Troubleshoot programming or equipment issues to keep inspection processes running smoothly Create ballooned drawings and inspection documentation for first piece, in-process, and FAI requirements Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve inspection methods and overall product quality Use statistical tools (such as QC-Calc) to monitor process capability and support data-driven decisions Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products Support internal audits and customer inspections as needed Train operators and team members on CMM operation and basic inspection techniques
What You Bring:
We're looking for someone who is: Experienced in CMM programming and operation within a machining or manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred) Proficient in CMM software (PC-DMIS strongly preferred) and dimensional inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges Skilled in interpreting blueprints and GD&T with a strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledgeable in quality standards such as
ISO 9001
(IATF 16949 or AS9100 is a plus) Familiar with CAD software and 3D modeling (Creo, SolidWorks, or similar is a plus) Understanding of machining processes, including CNC milling and turning A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset An effective communicator who works well cross-functionally in a team environment Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting You'll thrive here if you enjoy contributing your skills, solving problems, and being part of a team that delivers real-world performance.
