Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Our client, a high-end custom apparel supplier, is looking for an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join their team in Redondo Beach, CA. This temporary role is focused on the precision production of headwear, specifically utilizing specialized machinery to apply patches with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Sew patches onto both structured and unstructured hats using a Techsew 830 post-bed machine. Follow visual sample hats to ensure exact placement and specific stitch styles. Maintain clean, even stitching around all patch edges to meet quality standards. Perform basic machine operations, including threading, bobbin changes, and minor tension adjustments. Trim excess threads and ensure every finished product is clean and retail-ready. Maintain an organized and efficient workspace to support steady production flow.

Requirements:

Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines; experience with a post-bed machine is highly preferred. Specific experience sewing patches or working on curved surfaces (such as hats, footwear, or bags). Strong attention to detail and the ability to replicate samples with 100% consistency. Ability to follow visual and written instructions precisely. Ability to work at a steady production pace while maintaining high quality. Reliability and a focus on maintaining a safe, organized work area.
