Responsibilities Operate and monitor industrial boilers, including high-pressure steam boilers, ensuring they run smoothly and safely according to operational protocols. Conduct routine inspections of boiler equipment and mechanical systems, identifying issues early to prevent downtime. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on boilers and associated equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and system adjustments. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics and technical drawings; execute repairs such as welding or component replacement as needed. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system (BAS) controls to diagnose issues accurately. Maintain detailed logs of boiler operation, maintenance activities, safety checks, and incident reports for compliance purposes. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues related to hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and industrial equipment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in boiler mechanics and industrial equipment repair. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and building automation systems for troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques, and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience operating high-pressure steam boilers and industrial boilers in a manufacturing or facility setting. Ability to perform industrial mechanic troubleshooting efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent customer service skills when working with internal teams or external vendors during field service or maintenance activities. Familiarity with engineering troubleshooting methods for mechanical boiler issues and interpreting technical documentation.
